Redcurrants and whitecurrants
« on: August 20, 2008, 19:21 »
I have been up to investigate my allotment abit more today and have stumbled across a huge redcurrant bush and a little, rather scabby looking whitecurrant bush.

The redcurrants have nearly all dropped off and the white currants done really have very much on.  Do I need to prune them back at all?  Any other tips of what I should be doing with them.

Thanks.
I always find that work gets in the way of life.

Check this thread out (click on it). Treat white  currants the same as red. I often combine red and whites if I don't have enough reds for a recipe; though smaller, the whites are sweeter.
