Hi there, what do you say grows just as well, sown direct? Im sick of sowing in pots and trays!, and then potting on, and all the pot washing! My OH was at it when we got the lottie, I will sow and do it all, he has not sown a single seed or washed a single pot, talk about rail roaded.

Off the top of my head:
Carrots
Parsnips
Spring Onions
Raddish
Turnips
Most other things i do transplant so they are stronger when attacked by their various enemies!!! >:(

adding more
turnips, turnips and more turnips
broadbean
onion sets
garlic
PEAS
beetroot
perpetual spinach
this year I am going to do dwarf french.

i think you could have phrased that better
i agree with gazza snd prakash with everything they've put, only to add;

I have in mind to sow direct:
peas
dwarf french beans
Spring onion
spinach
parsnip
Parsley
marigolds to annoy the pests between my rows
Others that I have in pots but trying direct too:
lettuce
Pumpkin, just to see, have some in pots
Rocket, have some in a tray too
butternut squash

Oh yeah just realised how that sounds!

Take into account the soil temp or fleece things.

Carrots
Lettuce
Spinach
Runner beans, french beans
Peas
Courgettes
melons & pumpkins
Beetroot
Cucumbers
Chard
But I won't sow them all at the same time. Cucumbers, melons, pumpkins and courgettes will be sown later when all chance of frost is gone.
Peas, chard, and spinach will go in later this week after our snowstorm passes
