Just down the road from us. It's one of those places that you live close to, but never get around to visiting.

Set in 15 acres of formal & informal garden & woodland, a nominal sum of £3 is charged for entry to the gardens. The house is not open to the public.

You leave your £3 in an honesty box by the gate and help yourself to a ticket!

These are a few of the piccies we took on a visit during the summer....

The Beds

The Veg Patch

Please bring your own spade!

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It looks like the veg patch is not in use.Where I live the council are looking at opening a big walled garden as allotment.

This is a private house & the entire grounds are looked after my one man and his family, but it is a crying shame to see the walled garden looking like that.

Been for a re-visit today, not much has changed, but you can't walk through the walled garden anymore. Maybe they're thinking of doing something with it!

Anyway, £3.50 for 2 teas, 2 coffees served in china cups & a slice of cake for Mrs Digger - can't grumble!

looks a lovely place and a lot of hard work for 1 man and his family to keep on top of.
Staffies are softer than you think.
