50 shades of grey sky today, with a bit of drizzle from the darkest clouds, feels like Autumn already 

50 shades?  I thought this was a family program!

Right now, the temperature is 97 F (36.1 C), we have not had significant rain for 2 weeks.  We could hit 100 F today. 

My oldest son is an entomology graduate student, and is out in the afternoon heat right now, as I type, doing research in a peach orchard (investigation on ground covers as a means to control certain insects).  My youngest son is helping him.  [Say a little prayer, if you please.]

The meteorologists are predicting an increased chance of rain over the next several days (still only 2 days where there is more than a 50% chance).  Each of those days will be over 32 C.

We just need to find a way to trade John!    Maybe I need to start holiday packages, come enjoy the sunny south in July?    In exchange for January in Wales perhaps  (equal, yet inequal, punishment). 

Oh well, I guess we are both stuck with the weather we have.

Cloudy, but a fairly warm and muggy day at 18C.

Quite a lot of rain showing up on the radar (from John's direction) but none of it's made it across the Pennines yet (neighbours will be pleased - they're having a socially distanced haircutting session in their back garden at the moment!)

Sunny and about 20c, the winds are SW and blowy (but it always blows up here)

It was very warm overnight, and carried on getting warmer during the day 27C now, I came in for some shade

Cloudy and overcast, until we got to the west side of the Island where it was sunny until midday when that also clouded over.  I'd left    my cardi in the van and Paul had taken it away when he went off on deliveries and I got really cold.

A very dark cloudy sky,   not even a leaf is fluttering - spooky.   rain due from about noon on.

Virtually cloudless, 18C, slight breeze - almost feels like a summer's day (weird!  )

Steady rain all morning.  Just the sort that the garden needs over a prolonged period.  Still going after a short break about midday.
