After a lovely day yesterday, today we've been in thick cloud until about an hour ago. Odd spots of rain but nothing too bad, about 5mm over the last 24 hours according to my clever gizmo. Very cool though - but I think my gizmo is playing up as it said 5 and now 18 degrees.. Hmmmm Still, chilly without a jacket on.

Since July 1, high temperatures averaging about 33 C, roughly that temperature right now.  Very dry, we have really had only one helpful rain for the month so far.  I am DREAMING about a "drizzled all day"!  Chance of rain hopefully will increase this weekend.

Be careful what you wish for. Took these from our front door a minute ago. This is what we call summer in N Wales The grey is misty, low cloud. 12ºC with little breeze and light rain at the moment.

18c, westerly winds, a concrete sky.    My garden needs a lot more rain than yesterdays shower  !!

Well John, I guess we could both do with 'meeting in the middle' on the rain and temperatures.  Look on the bright side, at least yours is green and not dry to a crispy brown (which is what my lawn grass looks like).  I am saving the water to irrigate the vegetables and flowers.

I hope you get some sun, some warmth, and a little less rain.
