We've had the same symptoms with our greyhound Fern. I think it's best to get your spaniel checked out by a vet. We took Fern to the vet about 4 weeks ago and found out she's scratched the outer layer of her cornea which have then ulcerated.. She's been on antibiotic drops since then. Took her back last week and the one ulcer has completely gone, but the 2nd one is still persisting, although it is getting smaller. Fingers crossed tomorrow she gets the all clear.

There's a lot of dry long grass about at the moment, charging through this can irritate with dust or scratches, but if it's very abnormal a visit to the vet is a good idea. :)

I quite like homeopathic remedies, and find they often work very well on animals.

Euphrasia is good for all eye conditions and I generally use 30c  I get my remedies through the post from Ainsworths of London who have their own website. www.ainsworths.com

All the best
Sue

Hi

A vet once told me, a cold used tea bag is good for bathing eye's. Not tried it myself.
As mentioned, see your vet to be safe.  :)

I use cold tbag's on one of my springer's eye's was told to by my vet as well :).
If it doesn't clear up within a day or two or she's in pain i'd go to the vet to be on the safe side though :)
