As long as the tunnel is frost free the potatoes would be fine.

Just be aware that they are the same family as tomatoes, so be careful not to use the same piece of ground for your follow-on tomato crop.

You should be fine, chit the seed potatoes for a week or 2 until you see some stalks to give you a nice head start in the polytunnel

I did some early spuds in my tunnel this year and they worked out really well. I put fleece down on the soil for a week or two before I planted them, and then I planted them in mid February. They did really well and gave me a good crop. The only thing I'd change is next year I'm going to use polypots on top of the soil, to avoid the volunteers being left behind. My tunnel isn't frost free but it is just that bit warmer than outside, enough for spuds.

if you have the ground spare it works well but I must admit that when I did it the size and yield were disappointing Perhaps I dug too early but my outdoor ones were nearly ready, gave better yield and size so I think growing in the shorter days of sunlight must affect yield. I did fairly well with peas and broad beans, spinach, salads even early beetroot in pt though.
Worth a try anyway -- best of luck. Definitely prechit and fleece soil before setting and until sprouts through as advised by others already
