That's how a lot of folk do it - dedicate one day a week to try something totally different. Pick a day you know you'll have time to experiment and alter if necessary. Choose the recipe beforehand and have needed ingredients on hand so you can't back out saying 'I haven't got such-and-such, can't make it.'

No excuse really I've got lots of spices and dry ingredients pulses ect, just need to get good seasonal receipes so I'm using what I have on the lotty.

with all these cook books going spare maybe here sould be a book swap .
i did an onion tart yesterday from new book it went well but i thought it could have had a bit more flavor will have to pencil in more seasoning , it had a load of parmasan in it but still could have done with a bit more salt .

What a good idea. I have my culled books in the loft at the moment as I am too busy to do anything about them.

Actually I would be just happy to find them a good home.
They are scrawled with notes.

I had a load of cookery and coffee table type books I wanted to clear out, so I stuck them on eBay. People were actually paying me more than I paid for them new :)

good idea , i know when i needed a pattern out of a cross stitch mag they were asking 9 pounds for 1 page , the whole mag was only 3 95 4 00
