Hindsight is a wonderful thing!  I have some and if I had known .....   :( 

I know broad beans stain them brown and we wont talk about beetroot ....  And carrots, yes, I have stained my hands orange with them, but it never occurred to me that white parsnips would do the same.  Duh. Only have to look at a cut end .... Obvious now.   >:(

Butternut squash, few brussels, tatties and leeks. Couldn't dig leeks up cos ground too frozen - had to chop them at soil level!

There are still a few leeks, a couple of savoy cabbages (only v little ones left) a few small swede and 2 Acorn squash. and surprisingly still have fresh parsley growing  :blink:
In greenhouse I've still got corn salad and rocket :)

Still got several pumpkins in store, and a few onions left, plenty of runner beans in the freezer, then fresh parsnips, savoy, red cabbage, PSB just beginning, cavolo nero,leeks and salad leaves (spicy mix)  OH and hazel nuts left too  :D

I ate all my red cabbage and very nice it was too :lol:So I've got seed for this year :)

I found some salsify this morning that I had forgotten about so dug em up, I have not grown it before so only planted a few. Never cooked it before either, I have seen recipes for it but has anyone got a recipe that they can reccomend please. CC

Oh Gypsy what a lovely surprise, its one of those more unusual and rather delicious veg. :), although I have not cooked it myself. I found this information amongst that available and I think it looks quite useful. :)
