The owners joined us here for a while, but we think probably just to promote their website.  There were discussions about it, but personally I don't like bird auctions anyway, you never know why they are getting rid.

I look on it occasionally, seems to be running okay.

i was wondering the same thing grannie...

surely you should see  the birds before purchase?

i go to melton and still feel i don't get the opportunity to check the bird throughly. how can you check for mites or its weight etc if you can't pick it up?

seems ok for hatching eggs  but i'd be concerned about the birds.....

i only just came across the site and i guess they were on here before i joined. whats the weather like over your end? my end can't make up its mind..got washing to put out and know that as soon as i do it'll rain...

even with hatching eggs at auctions you can't be sure, you haven't seen the parents so you may get white eggs from a legbar or blue eggs from an araucana but what proof have you got that the cockerel was the same breed?
Will have to meet up sometime at Melton - me and Grannie haven't been there for a while  :D
