It's it too early to start the seeds off, they are called Earlibird
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

I started mine in May last year and that was still too early..they got checked by a cold spell, some were killed off and only a few produced anything remotely edible.

Trying a different variety this year and will be hoping for a better summer.

What's it say on the packet? Bet it doesn't say February!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

This far up the country, I don't start my sweetcorn off indoors until very late April / early May.  Otherwise they get far too leggy too quickly.

If you have a heated greenhouse then timings can be sooner.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I generally start mine off in my cold greenhouse in late April and when I put them out in mid May I cloche them under 2l drinks bottles for a week until it warms up / risk of frost has passed.
