This is like clock work!!
« on: December 09, 2010, 20:29 »
I think the Broody girls have worked it out between themselves.  Cilla who has been laying an egg a day for 3 weeks, has today, decided it's her turn to be broody.  So Gladys who was broody for 3 weeks and recovering for 3 weeks laid us an egg today.  However, Grace, who was broody up until today has decided that she is not broody anymore and is perching. Sooooooo in 3 weeks time, she will lay eggs again and will be Galyd's turn to be broody. Do you understand that???  Well they can LOL  :tongue2:  :tongue2:

At least between the 3 of them, they are managing to provide us wth 1 egg a day, but they are so small that 1 have to save them up for week to get an omelette.   :D

It maybe sounds complicated but it's basically 3 weeks laying, 3 weeks broody and 3 weeks rest and then start all over again.  And because they are 3 of them they just do it 3 weeks behind each other. simples  ???  ???

Seems my clock work theory is correct. Today exactly 21 days after laying every day Gladys is broody and Grace laid 1st egg in 6 weeks.  Amazing how they do it.
