Chesterfield branch are selling these ' buy one get one free' for £4.95.
Is this a good offer or does anyone know of a better deal. Considering getting some to do next years tomatoes in the greenhouse.

That's an interesting idea, less likely to get damaged as well. Thanks for the link. We have a branch not far from us, may get some funny looks with a dozen buckets or so in the trolley!!

I've got some cheap builders buckets that I have used in the greenhouse for years. They are great and stack neatly in a corner when not in use :)

I bought a load of B&Q buckets and I melt holes about 12mm up from the bottom at four points around the circumference with a soldering iron so they hold water in the bottom and I use a feeder tube to get the water to the bottom of the bucket. I did use water retaining crystals in the compost, but I now use Cori in the bottom to absorb and hold the water for the roots to find.
