LIFTING DAFFODIL BULBS
« on: May 20, 2015, 19:28 »
I have daffodil bulbs in a large planter. They have finished flowering now. I want to use the planter for summer bedding plants. I know they are cheap but rather than waste them. I was hoping to plant them on the allotment. Do I just lift them and replant ? Or do they have to be dried out and repositioned in the autumn ?

You need to let the foliage die back to feed the bulb for next year so lifting and replanting would probably be best.

I normally lift them and leave them on the shed roof to dry off. Then replant later in the year
