Hi All,
Not quite an allotment, had one years ago before moved to current house, not a big garden for a veg patch .... But there's only two of us! With a bit of planning should be worthwhile challenge and good fun.
I have just taken out a rockery, which was overgrown, replaced it with a raised 'salad bed' four feet across and about fifteen feet long. It runs across the front of the 10x6 greenhouse, alongside this is a paved area ten foot long and a yard wide! Ideal for a few containers.
So, big ideas, the bed has a great depth of soil, just finished topping it up from the compost bin, leaving it to rest until spring now. Have some containers and will top up over winter with a few more.
Seed catalogue ordered, have a mate who is rather good at growing veg (wins trophies at local shows) so can scrounge an odd plant/seedling or two as well, roll on Spring, nice challenge for next year !

Sounds like a plan but that's a lot of salads in a bed 4' x15'😊

For Snow White, a picture ;) ..... one raised bed, workable from the path by the greenhouse, topped off with the contents of the composter from last year !

Welcome in Barry. You're looking good for the next season.

That is quite a big space. You can grow lots in there using the square foot method. Good luck. I look forward to seeing your progress as my plot is gradually going over to raised beds.
