I was in my local pet shop on Saturday and they had 4 kittens in... I was so tempted to get two just to get them out of there.
I asked how old they were and was told they were 10 weeks. Ha! if they were 6 weeks old I would be amazed. One tiny little black kitten barely had his milk teeth.
When I enquired how much they were (they were really tugging on my heart strings...) I was told €190 each    for a common-or-garden moggie!
The free ads are littered (for want of a better word) with "free kitten" ads at the moment. I would much rather get a couple from there than perpetuate the kitten farms that supply the pet shops... but they were sooooo tiny. I felt really sorry for them :(

The trouble is, if you rescue them, they will just get some more from those advertised free to replace them....and make more money. :(
