I'm still having problems with the above, the seedlings have been in an unheated greenhouse. They have been well watered but just keep shrivelling up and falling over, the same happened when I grew them in the kitchen. Is the greenhouse to hot / humid?? Help I feel like I'm running out of time to get them going. Should I just sow them straight outside?

It can get very hot in the day & this is bad news for brassicas.

You can now sow in open ground, but you can always try in seed trays outside, where you can keep a closer eye on them.

If it's not too much bother, keep them out during the day, but pop them in at night.

and see if you can repot up to the seed leaves...that may help

I am not considering sowing my Kale for another couple of weeks, this stuff isn't for harvest till autumn at the earliest so no rush.

And by mid may it really doesn't want to be in a greenhouse apart from if you have to, until the first seedling shows, then get them outside.
