I sowed a row each of kale redbor and early purple sprouting broccoli.  My 2 year old decided to remove the labels and only one variety germinated but I am not sure which it is.  As hopefully can be seen from the photos, it has started to go more purple.  I think they are the same plant in the two pictures, as the one in the pot looked like that a few days ago. 

Can anyone tell the difference.

Trouble is, my early PSB is going a purply colour at about the same size.

I'd say the pic on the left is redbor kale because it has a more jagged edge and the plant I have just bought (of redbor kale) are very pinky/purply and very jagged - and they're a bit bigger

I think it is kale on the left too.  Some more kale seedlings are germinating and they had purple seed leaves.  I am just unsure if it is the same plant on the right.  I have noticed with the smaller seedlings one has a purple stem down the leaf and the other a white.  The first seed leaf is purple on the underside and not on the other, so I am hoping that both broccoli and kale have germinated, and the photo on the right is PSB. 

Why oh why did I not write it down when I sowed the seeds.

Some seed packets have pictures of the seedlings - have you double checked the packet?
