Title: Fuchsias
Post by: Hey Jude on July 12, 2011, 19:46
Sorry if this is daft but when the flowers fall there's the little lumpy bit left on the stalk - the seed pod possibly? should I take this off as well when I'm deadheading? Thanks as ever, Jude. (not a fuchsia fan me  )

yup, pinch them out or they swell with seeds and slows flowering a bit :)

Fuchsia seedpods are edible, you can use the big pods in jams.  You can also put the flowers into salads.

In 1 way i agree but with cuttings you will get true to type with seeds you may get a more mixed response and we know what they say about variety being the spice of life ;)
