Plum Tree Problem
« on: May 31, 2017, 15:30 »
Hi

My 5 year old plum tree has a crop of plums for the first time.   But the leaves at the top are curled over and have caterpillars in them.  Do I need to worry - or is there anything I can do or should have done....

Probably winter moth

Pick and squish - grease band and a winter wash spray next year to try and keep the numbers down so they don't affect the trees health.

Thank you. That's really helpful.  It's small enough to reach the top and squish.  And I'll get the grease bands out next year.
