Linseed oil

clearing out the tack room i found a can of linseed oil still in date, can i give it (in small doses) to my hens? will it give them glossy feathers or kill them?

i googled it, dosage 500mls for 25kg of food :) apparently it's good for them.

I think it makes the eggs rich in omega 3 or 6 or both!

I get big bags of linseeds and give the chooks a handful now and then........
