I keep hearing about a slurry paste to paint in the coop, what are your recipies?  I'm new and only have diatom powder and poultry shield so far.  The coop has been thoroughly dusted with diatom so far and i haven't done my first big clean yet, only got the girls on sunday so still very clean and fresh.

If you keep up your hygene which sounds like you are I wouldnt worry too much, the diatom etc would probably be more effective than painting the coop.

Jacinta means the slurry like Hillfooter uses to paint in the nooks and cranny's and on the perches I think Aidy.

You can just make a slurry with diatom and water.  HF puts a little fairy liquid in with his slurry mix, but don't do too much too soon, like you said you've only had your girls a few days.

Just be very vigilant and keep your eyes open for the little monsters!!!

Will do, i'll have to get the magnifying glass out!  Know i'm only a few days in but want to get my routine down to give them the best start possible, i'm tend to want to gather a much information as possible and store it away rather than make mistakes as i go.  Thuink i'm a bit of a fact hoarder really!
