Here's our one day old chicks. Treacle did a wonderful job of hatching them out. They came from eggs given to us from friends on the allotment. The black one is a cross between a Cochin and a Brahman. The lighter chicks are Cochin and Orpington crosses. The black chick and one of the lighter chicks has little feathers starting on their legs already. Darling little sweeties!

So cute, enjoy then while they are so tiny as they grow so quickly.
If you have one I would put a shallow plastic tray or even a baking tray under their food and water as they will scatter it everywhere and it will go mouldy within a day on the grass. ;)
