Mum is right, its just not worth it.  Ive got my netting thankfully now and will be fitting it today.  I tried to get away with it last year (I only planted 6 cabbages) and ended up with enough for 1 meal. Im not going to all that trouble again to feed the caterpillars! (I wish we could slug net too  :D )
