My white orpington cockerel was dead this afternoon when I went down to the lottie.  He was off colour this morning, not his usual strutting self and dead this afternoon.  He was a substantial chap and protective of his girls but not aggressive to me.  He was only 18 months old.

Im so very sorry to hear of your sad loss. Why is it always a little bit more sad when cockerals die? We are still mourning our "Bigfoot" who died when the fox attacked.
I bet he had a really wonderful albeit shortish life.
