Title: automatic openers
Post by: hasbeans on March 29, 2018, 08:13
I'm hoping to build my own greenhouse this spring and intend to fit some automatic openers.  Does anyone have experience of the different brands (bayliss, cheap generic chinese stuff from amazon etc) as I'd rather not waste money on kit that regularly needs replacing?

I replaced 2 on second hand green house, brought cheapest replacement £12 ish each had no problem with them only had them for 8 months though.

I notice that the ones facing south open before the north one.

I've had a Bayliss (XL?) installed since I built the greenhouse about 6 years ago - no problems, although having said that it's not been warm enough here yet this year to find out whether it's still working!

My Bayliss is in its 10th year and still working. All I've had to do recently, was grease the sliding bits to stop it sticking open.
