[Goosegirl]

'Twas my 62nd birthday a week ago and I came downstairs to find two of my four cats standing - or rather sitting - to attention (unusual at that time in the morning). Millie - my lovely, very regal and whippet-like tortie bowed her head gracefully as I patted her and allowed me to kiss the top of her head. Amber, my ginger and white cat said (with a lisp) "Happy birthday to you from me. I juth loved being sthroked and I know you juth love sthroking me so here I am ready for you to sthroke me. The vet said I am such a lovely puthy and - and - and - one day - I'm going to be a moddel ithn't I!"
Daphne, my other and less whippet-like tortie eventually came rushing in to give me her present. She apologised for letting a mole get away near my bean bed and told me she had finally caught it and would I like to see it? Which I did and thanked her profusely.
My OH took me to two garden centrea in the Lakes and made a lovely tea.
What a great day!!!
