Flymo mower suddenly vibrating!

Flymo mower suddenly vibrating!

Hi Gang

our Flymo is suddenly vibrating a lot and is much noisier - any ideas? I clean it after every use, and the blade looks clear. is it worth dismantling the blade and re setting it at all?  I would be grateful for your thoughts, ta.

Have you definitely tightened the blade properly?

Petrol?electric? have you hit any thing or had the blade off or sharpened it before the vibration started ? are the engine/motor fixing bolts  loose ?

Mine does it when the blades need adjusting. Or I should say did do it, as I have now bought a hand mower. It is so much quieter and much more pleasant cutting the lawn now. Surprisingly, it is also lighter and easier to push than the Flymo. When the blades needed doing the Flymo made a LOT of noise! :)

thanks all - it is a hover mower. could have hit something without noticing. will take apart again and put back carefully, and see what happens

It definitely sounds as though something is out of balance. Hope it's easy to fix. :)

have ordered new blade from Flea bay - £5.69 delivered, which can't be bad.
