Title: What else can go wrong ?
Post by: mrs bouquet on November 06, 2018, 15:15
Still trying to sell Mum's house, having now reduced it by £40K.   It is definitely a buyers market now.

However, I digress.   I went over to check the property, and thought my car looks odd.   Flat front tyre !!!
Oh blow, blow and bother, I said.   Still its only flat at the bottom.  I thought its bound to be a new tyre (£350-£400).  Dearest son-in-law jacked it up last night to avoid further possible damage.  He has just been in here to tell me it needed a new valve.  the old one had gone rusty,   £17.50.    I am sooo relieved, I could do a handstand, if I didn't have a bad wrist.
That'll be a slab of beers for him this weekend, bless him.   :) :)  Mrs Bouquet

What on earth type / model / make of car is it that could possibly need over £350 to replace a single tyre???

I have friends, with some VERY exotic cars, and even they would shudder at over £350 for one tyre.

Mrs B, have you thought  of contacting the empty house officer at your council. They circulate the details around developers who buy. Tried this with BIL prop, but even the developers didn't want it. Property is sold.
Might be better off taking off the market, doing a make over and putting it back on in early March. Did this with FIL bungalow, replaced coloured bathroom suite for white, painted walls, neutral carpets and painted kitchen doors.
Use an estate agent which use online sellers like rightmove.
