Has anyone had experience of growing wheat, oats or barley? If so where did you source the seed from?

Thanks

There is something on youtube about this.
A guy grows his own wheat on his allotment and then processes it and then makes bread from it.

Im on my works computer at the moment so can't suply the link as youtube is a blocked site.

Someone else may be able to suply it  ;)

too much hassel and takes up to much space for my liking. Here in lincolnshire we have several old mills that grind local wheat and other crops so easier and less time consuming to go direct to them  :)
I'm sure most areas have either windmills or water mills doing the same  :D
Staffies are softer than you think.

Watched the Youtube clip. Do they have no birds? Crows, pigeons and small birds would soon have the lot where I am.

I really loved some of the machines he had made. Full of admiration for that man. Mind you, the same could be achieved with normal hand tools and no petrol.

Perhaps that it a little over the top for a few kilos of grain seed , John Seymour in one of his books suggests using a chair back to winnow the grain and simply tossing it into the air on a breezy day . Dont forget you get  a second crop of straw ! seeds are available off the net , but I think the uk is not the best place to grow strong bread grain so even if you do grow it it would need to be mixed with commercial products
