Hi Mickey, I just wash the seeds and dry on kitchen towel then keep in little paper bags in a drawer.  As long as they are dry they are usually fine.

I just bung 'em in a paper bag, bung that on a shelf and next year they come up fine.   Cheers,   :D Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

You'll be hard pushed to get viable seed from unripe chillis.

Just out of interest Grannie, why do you need to wash the seeds? :) :)
