have searched the net for free plans and have not found any, I am/was a chippy so the actual design and build is simple but would like to have an accurate size of the entrance holes.
This is the design i will be using/copying

Very nice house you're building. The entrance holes are referred to as pop holes and the size depends on the variety of bird you hope to attract. You don't want them too large or the birds won't feel safe. The standard sizes are 3-1/2" to 4" wide, and 5-1/2" to 6" high. You can round these a bit at the top like arches.

Thanks i should have known they where called poop holes as i keep chooks!!
it is for collar doves we have them wild around here and just want to give them somewhere to breed away from the magpies and pigeons thanks for the info

  :lol:Pop holes, not poop holes, although around birds an extra 'o' is pointless. They pop in and out of the holes as well as poop on them
