easy access wormery?

im planning on building a wormery, and so have been reading all sorts of stuff on the t'interweb about them. Most designs seem to require you to empty everything out to get at the compost

does anyone have a design whereby the compost can be removed without disturbing the rest of the pile? like some sort of door/hatch/tray etc?

Well well well, there's me just visiting the 'design' section to look for threads on wormeries, and this is first up!

I'm planning on building a stacking tray style one, like THIS

though that might not be what you had in mind.

I'm going to use some of those low, large footprint under-bed storage boxes rather than the deeper tubs shown.

Organic...so far!

Yeah, I'd prefer to re-use / recycle whatever I can, though if I can't get my hands on anything suitable then I'll be visiting Wilkos, they have the under-bed boxes for £2.99 each - a snip compared to spending 70-odd squid on a ready-made wormery, and more fun to make my own as well!  :D

Though I have also been considering the large stacking trays (with handy mesh bottoms  :D ) that Tescos deliver in (I'm sure I'll get my wrist slapped for saying that though, sorry Aunty!   )
