Bonjours frogfry

Unless someone has fitted the 7hp engine later, your Merry Tiller must be a Titan GT rather than a Titan as the 1978 to 83 GT was the only model to have a 7hp engine. The GT had a gear case instead of a chaincase and spares for this are no longer available. Engine spares should still be available from Briggs & Stratton agents and I sell English parts and instruction books for the Wolseley/Webb bits, plus the odd part that the GT shares with the Major, like rotor blades and hitch pins.

Cheers Richard. I'll PM frogfry to point him to yourself and maybe you can offer further advice if needed.
If there's any language problems, shout up and we'll try and find a willing go-between. :)

There is no problem too great for the AVG forums !!

Sorry, I haven't a clue where you would get one in France.
They're not too hard to get though!  :D
You will need to go to a garden machinery specialist.
On the engine cowling, you will find, stamped into the metal, The engine model, type and code numbers. You will need to take these along with you, so that you get the correct air filter.

Good luck :D

Hello,
If it is parts for the engine that you are looking for.

If you can find the Model & Type numbers that are stamped into the engine cover. "Model" will be the first set of numbers.  "Type" will be the second set of numbers.

They can then be used to download a parts drawing... .pdf file.
  http://www.briggsandstratton.com/eu/en/maintenance_repair/operator_manuals/list.aspx?type=Illustrated%20Parts%20Lists&cat=Engines

You may also be able to find an operating manual....and the location of a service agent local to you.

(There is also the option to change language on this B&S website.)

http://briggsandstratton.via.infonow.net/locator/?LOC=fr_FR

A B&S engine service agent will keep some service parts in stock and also be able to order in any other parts that are still available for the engine.

All the best,
            "Dori"
