Thought it was Mountfield M1 but not sure.
« on: April 12, 2020, 23:24 »
Hello people. My first post. My worm drive failed on my Mountfield Manor 36 and no new part available so I decided to transplant the engine onto and old chassis I picked up. I thought It was an M1 but it is not as the engine sits forward of the tines. Anybody got any ideas what it might be? I have posted some pics of the work in progress.

Hello the colour looks like a Norlett the Mountfield engine usually has it's own frame with handle bars attached so that it can be detached from rotavator and put on a rotary cutter, have you tried getting a new worm drive made at an agricultural engineer I know an agricultural engineer that might be able to turn a new one  for you  jezza
