Hayter Osprey

Need some advice as the old Hayter Osprey bottom plate I use on a community farm paddock hit an angle iron that someone smart had thrown out; I have to replace. Any experience out there as to how easy it is to take off and before I get a metal fabricator to copy does anyone make them anymore -- appreciate any advice David

hello do you mean the blade carrying disc? it should have a 9/16th bolt to hold it to the spindle  give it a sharp tap with a hammer then turn it anti clockwise the disc has a splined boss on it gently knock it off the shaft  some hayter ospreys had 28 inch bar blades fitted for rough cutting  if you cant get the disc sorted it might be worth looking for a bar blade  some were fitted with 9inch bars and had chains and flails fitted(not recommended now) jezza
