Title: Mantis Rotavator
Post by: TEYman on April 10, 2013, 13:06
I have a large rotavator which is heavy and now getting harder for me to manouver so I'm considering buying a Mantis which I can also use in my raised beds. Have you had any experience with one of these, are they worth the money?

Thanks

I like mine and put it to good use but it's most definitely a tiller not a rotavator. For heavy work I use a Honda F501. I suppose the question would be "would I buy another Mantis if this one broke?" Answer, yes. My lotty neighbour is 80 and uses his for everything including weeding between rows, digging out a trench to plant spuds and even covering the spuds back over.

There's been a lot of posts about the mantis over the years, This one is the latest:

If you want more info, just use the search function, right hand side of the page, about a third of the way down.

I like them, I think they're a great little machine, but do keepin mind they are a Tiller and not a Rotovator!
