My seed potatoes were dilivered the week before Christmas. I've put them in a cool dark place until it's time to start chitting. I'm never quite sure how long before planting chitting should begin, but I'm sure someone will come along and put me right.

My seeds come from the allotment assoc and we have to get the order in by the beginning of November to Kings.     Seeds come immediately-ish, the seed pots are delivered in January.  The allotment soc gets a fee for every order and the seeds are a good price so it works fine.  My plan is seeds from Kings (got them);onion sets and seed pots will be local.  Have to keep my eyes open for when they come in ...

Have a look at this thread - http://chat.allotment-garden.org/index.php?topic=49027.0 where Aunt Sally has been putting together a list of local seed pot suppliers.  Maybe there is one near you?

I got most if mine at the end of last year in the sale -- at 50% off I bought some varieties I probably wouldn't have otherwise  :)

Me too, the better part of the rest in the 50p Wyevale sale, inclucing some normally very expensive ones (£4+).
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Sent the missus to the local Garden Centre today with a big list, they are doing a 50% sale plus the Mother in law works there so gets a discount on top - she reckons she got most of the stuff on the list (except seed potatoes) - i'll find out tonight when I get home!

Normally get mine from Wilkos - they usually have seed for about 39 to 59p and buy two get one free. Not sure of this years offer.

Ordered some unusual ones from Premiere Seeds Direct and Just Seed which arrived before Christmas. The run of the mill stuff I'll get from Wilkos and seed potatoes from JBA over the next few weeks. Still have loads from previous years which I might bung in seed trays just to see what comes up. Trouble is I always end up with far more seedlings than I have ground for.  :(

I ordered most of mine before Christmas and it's all arrived - great excitement  :tongue2:
I'm still waiting for a couple of afterthoughts I ordered the other day.
Will get my seed potatoes from Brookside Nurseries (mentioned on the list of seed pot suppliers) and onion sets locally a bit nearer to planting time. Not fussed about which varieties I get - it might be heresy to say so but onions are onions in my opinion.

I'm the same as Madcat. Ordered mine through the allotment association in Nov. Dangerous as they are really cheap (well, I thought so) so I've ordered LOADS!! Think I've got about half a dozen types of beetroot!?!? lol!  :D
They've been popped in an airtight container and put in a cupboard until needed. Although I think I made a boo boo, I actually popped in the garlic/onions into the ground in Dec but I think they'll have rotted as I think i was late. So they've not taken yet, then all that rain and now all this SNOW!!

So who has ordered their seeds then?
