[matilda duck]

2 of my 3 layers have stopped laying

It's the 2 crested AGAIN . 

 Jemmima the mallard/mixed what ever she is has laid none stop since november not even missing 1 day.....Snowy and Tufty are so fickle.  They havn't laid now for over a week.
I've looked to see if they are laying away ....but no.....they moulted last month  I have the feathers of all of them to prove it!

Any ideas?

The moult is probably done it. Mine moulted about this time last year and that was it for eggs for the year! Crested ducks are also not said to be amongst the best of layers either. Hope they keep going and bit longer for you (and keeping my fingers crossed that mine don't stop as well).

sorry to go off topic but when do ducks start laying? its the 1 thing i have never thought about!

Mine have tended to start from 24 weeks although my current ducklings have got my hopes up as they have started crouching really early (14 weeks).
