Title: Jerusalem Artichoke
Post by: Neal1964 on January 19, 2010, 21:20
I'm looking to plant Jerusalem Artichokes this year, only having difficulty buying small number of tubors.
Would the green grocer shop bought ones be ok to plant?
Seeing as ones left in ground re-grow anyway should be no problem, or is that wishful thinking on my part

Not entirely sure Neal, but I'd be with you on thinking that you would be able to use the ones from the greengrocers - have you a neighbour with any growing that you could have a few from?, I've always found others very generous (as a newbie last year one of my neighbours gave me a carrier bag full and I planted 2 rows......now got arti's coming out of my ears - lesson learnt!! ~Hey Jude.

they had a good year this year, I've more than I need.....
