Sorry Jamie, the years have passed me by from when it used to be delivered, or you could get it from a pump at the garage.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Take an over sixty with you to B&Qs Jamie, let them get it 10% cheaper! I often do Wednesday shopping for some of the younger plotters!

For those of us that used to buy 5 gallons (min) at a time, why do you want a small quantity?

I saw it on my local petrol station forecourt the other day if that helps but not sure of size etc did look like a 4 litre (1 gallon roughly) bottle otherwise maybe try some of the camping stores or if you have a small hardware store nearby?

Its only a liitle greenhouse heater which doesnt need much fuel to burn for a while, supose it wont hurt to get the bigger bottle :)

If your paraffin greenhouse heater is anything like mine it will burn through the stuff faster than you can keep up with it.

I gave up with mine as it cost too much to run as paraffin is not cheap these days.  I have now run electricity to my greenhouse so have an electric heater in there, this is working out much cheaper.

I even remember the blue square metal cans that it used to be generally stored in.

What I don't get now though, is the cost of it. It used to be give away money, but is now hard to justify buying. :(

The days of the Pink Paraffin Man and his van are long gone  :( I guess it is a pretty rare liquid. I've not bought any for years as it was too dear to use in the greenhouse.

Is it true that petrol stations no longer sell it via a pump?

We're quite lucky here, we still have an old fashioned hardware shop that will sell you a Gallon (yes, a GALLON!, none of that modern litre rubbish there, you know ;). Mind you, he won't except payment in sixpence pieces......Strange that.)
It works out far cheaper than buying it "ready packed" from anywhere else.

Bet you have to take your own bag for it, though.
