Hi peeps! Haven't posted on here for yonks hope you're all well, any hoo I lifted some Lady Christl
today and found some of them are purple inside, the flesh looks fine and firm and the colour is similar to a purple skinned potato. Is this normal?

Certainly not normal for Lady Christie. Should have yellow flesh and cream skin.

I suspect the genes for pink colouring have been switched on somehow - maybe a temperature thing or whatever.  I noticed the sprouts and flowers are pink/red-violet according to a potato database so its possible the pink flesh is the colour genes being expressed where they shouldn't like inside the tuber.  It might be a "mutant"... it's certainly very pretty
