2nd earlies

can anyone tell me , i have a lot of Marris Peer 2nd early pots still in the ground and just lifting them as we need them. My question is , can i keep doing as i am ,or to keep them as 2nd earlies and keep their taste, lift them all up and store them ? Before i start on the mainmcrop. :wacko:

My Charlottes have always been OK in the ground, the risk is slugs
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
