« on: March 23, 2012, 20:10 »
hi, i have just got the news that my bees will be ready to collect in 2 weeks!!!  :D i am starting to feel nervous now though, and am begining to doubt that i am ready but think its just the nerves. I joined my local beekeepers assosiation a year ago and have read several books so have an idea what i am doing and a mentor so should be ok but cant help feeling nervous and excited.

They are exciting little creatures to have. If you feel overwhelmed, call up a beekeeping friend or acquaintance. Most are very happy to guide you through your first foray. After that, you'll feel like an old hand.

How many bees are there in a hive at any one time?  I hope you get plenty of honey
