Wilkos can be a bit hit-and-miss for the other accessories you mention but on a lucky day they have these things in stock. Must admit they're getting harder to find outside specialist brew shops (twas a black day when Boots gave up selling brewing equipment) but there are a couple of good online suppliers these days such as:
www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk (hants) or
www.zen37219.zen.co.uk (stockport).
Do:
Make sure everything is first well cleaned and then sterilized. Warm soapy water is ok for cleaning unless terribly soiled, in which case a cleaning solution such as WBP (I got my last tub form wilkos for £1.50) is best used. You need a tub of Sodium Metabisulphite for sterilising and a bottle of Campden tablets for the same - Wilkos should have these too.
Be patient.
Drink responsibly.
Be careful with glass, especially wet, slippy glass.
Experiment, within reason.
Get yourself a decent wine-making and brewing book. The local libraries usually have a decent selection for a start.
Dont:
Be impatient.
Do too much before you've read a good book or two.
