What are you sowing now?
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:44 »
Mrs J kindly pointed out that we haven't sown anything for weeks now so I'm looking for ideas as to what to sow now?

What are you planning on sowing in June?

Cheers

Already in, I have an 8 foot bed x4 rows, plus some in the poly which won't be long. I think I have beetroot chutney covered.  maybe a few more rows if I can find space

Some back-up beans, in case the earlier lot don't make it, also the courgettes look a bit iffy ::)

Other than that it's Tundra cabbage, Swede, Autumn Calabrese, and more salad stuff ;)

In a few weeks it's the early spring cabbages................

I sowed Little Gems and golden beetroot yesterday. More beetroot seed dropped on the mat with my gardening mag today, so more Boltardy , chicory Treviso, and Romaine lettuce, oh and more spring onions and carrots, cannellini beans

A similar theme to the others - swede, beetroot, salad leaves & lettuce, chard, and chtting a load more sweetcorn as the first batch was a poor germination and those that came up seem to have stalled even though they are in the greenhouse.  I think the nights are still on the cold side.  Still to do some turnips and radish

more beetroot and carrots.  Am I too late for more parsnips?  More salad leaves.  But I think I've got everything else covered, just need to get on with this weeding and got to build a brassica cage, but debating on whether to do a more permanent frame, or debris netting round and over canes again.

I think too much and don't act fast enough!   :( :(
