i have 4 ailsa craig alongside 4 other types. i.e. g . delight.  shirley. same conditions . same compost. same containers. these 4 are prolific croppers and yet all 4 have green blotches among the red . is this common to this breed . any help welcome.   wrinkly1

I can't quite understand what you mean - are you referring to green back?  Maybe this article on the disorder might be useful?

Do you mean, that some tomatoes are red, others green? That's fine, they do not ripen at the same time.

BabbyAnn is correct ( Green Back ) , i have the same problem with some of my greenhouse Tom's ... the bottom of the Tom is red ... the stalk end is green and hard , i've took them off the plant and put them on the window ledge ... they seem to be turning all red now .

yes . it is green back. my neighbour looked . he reckons it/s common on ailsa craigs .  cheers all.
