I have a wonderful sister who for my birthday bought me a fab weekend in the lake district learning how to smoke food. Was a really laid back, friendly intro to something I have never done before and am now filled with enthusiasm for all the things I can smoke. Run by some people called Smoky Jo's. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who likes cooking or preserving. Although after the mammoth banquet at the end thought it would be a long time before I could even look at smoked food again, I'm doing hot smoked salmon for tea tomorrow!

Sounds just perfect and if I was closer I would be hoping for an invitation to sample you hot smoked salmon ---one of my favourites

It was really nice as my sister and I don't get to spend much time together and was a gorgeous weekend near Windermere too.
