Hi all

My 2yr old light sussex started to mould a couple of weeks ago, she was only laying every 2/3 days when this was happening.  The feather loss has now stopped but she has not lost much, just looking a bit ungroomed! She has stopped laying now so I guess she is regrowing. 

She is top hen but is not as loud and demanding as she used to be and her companion, a speckled hen of the same age is vying for the top position now, pushing the sussex around.  Should I just let nature take it's course here?

How long before my scruffy hen is again a fluffy hen? How long before she starts laying again?  I have been feeding her extra protein for regrowth, is there anything else I should be doing?

a lot of hens seem to be going through either a full or partial moult at the moment and this could be possibly due to the poor weather. Don't worry she will lay again when her body is ready

My Brahma, who is about 5 years old has stopped laying and appears to be moulting. My other 3 hens, 2 young hybrids and one Cream Legbar, about the same age as the Brahma appear to be OK.
Is it likely to be the weather if all the others aren't moulting? She also appears to be quieter than usual.
