i see you have chickens with duck chicks are you having problems ? my chickens and i had 2 would not look after the duck chicks properly they were great with chicken chicks but ignored the ducks as if they knew there was a difrence :?:

ps all duck chicks died at about 3 weeks of age that was 10 all dead.

They need to be kept warm at night maybe that was the problem?

I have a better solution to courgette mountains I make Courgette cake, its lovely and so easy.  Fnished with a cream cheese and lime icing very moreish.

They can get cold / wet / drowned very easily if given unlimited access to water.

I've had hens bringing up ducklings before without any problems whatsoever, they were looked after very well. The only problem was the frantic mother when the ducklings started swimming in the pond!!  :roll:  :lol:

I had no problems at all. The 'mother' is a brahma....a very gentle breed....perhaps that's why? I don't really know but she has been a brilliant mother.
